Trade with the rest of Asia has weakened in the past half-year, with a drop in exports of computer chips and semiconductor making equipment taking a toll on exports to China.“The global electronics slump seems like it is continuing with semiconductor equipment down 14.5%, contributing to a decline in exports to China, the biggest destination of IT products,” ING Economics said in a report. Shipments to the U.S. and Europe rose, mainly thanks to strong sales of autos and auto parts, which jumped nearly 24%. Exports of electrical equipment surged 17% and exports of machinery were up 18%. Japan's imports of oil fell 28% in April-September from a year earlier, while imports of liquefied natural gas sank almost 38% and imports of coal plunged 37%.。

在2021年8月25日的外交部例行记者会上，外交部发言人汪文斌同样没有打领带。

当时，汪文斌表示：今天是全国低碳日，本周是中国第31个全国节能宣传周，主题是“节能降碳，绿色发展”。

四 | “今天外交部蓝厅没有开空调，我也没有像往常一样系领带。蓝厅入口处的电子显示屏还播放有关节约用水、珍爱地球的宣传视频和电子海报。这些都是外交部参与全国节能宣传周的具体举措。当然，我们所做的远不止这些。”

2019年6月19日，时任外交部发言人的陆慷在主持例行记者会时也没有打领带。

当时，陆慷解释称，“大家可能注意到，我没有打领带。
